Yard Gate Opener / Wifi-Connected pushbutton?

Hi!

I am looking for a cheap and easy solution to open / close our yard gate. At the moment it ss being controlled via a pushbutton (see image). Is there any wifi-enabled component that could be connected parallel to this button to momentarily close that circuit? As connection via wifi would be preferred, I would also be able to connect it via ethernet or link it to a HomeMatic gateway.

Here’s the pushbutton (I removed the actual button-cover):

I tried to accomplish this using a SONOFF wifi switch like this: https://www.banggood.com/DIY-Wi-Fi-Wireless-Switch-For-Smart-Home-With-ABS-Shell-p-1019971.html, but these things are not build to momentarily close a curcuit but inteded to be used as a switch as far as I know.

Here’s what the control unit looks like:

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Look for esp8266 relay

EDIT
Or sonoff will work too

open garage would also work for this…for 10€ you can build one yourself.

Okay, thank you both. I will try to convert my sonoff to a simple dry switch using this how-to: http://www.boized.com/2017/02/how-to-convert-wifi-sonoff-into-dry.html.

Did you manage?

Yes, it really is quite easy to acomplish and the switch is working very reliably.

Although, in the meantime I’ve found the Electrodragon " Wifi IoT Relay Board SPDT Based on ESP8266" which I have heard should do the same without any need to modify. I haven’t tried it, though.

What a great find

just received the electrodragon.
trying to find tutorials on the internet, but can’t find any. Did you?

I would try flashing Tasmota onto it. According to the Tasmota wiki https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota/wiki, it definitely is supported, but I too can find no tutorial. Maybe you need to ask the Tasmota guys for help…
