Hi all,
bit of background, I have been using solely Apple HomeKit for a while. mixture of native HK supported devices as well as homebridge and custom firmware ESP wifi devices. basically with the end goal of having everything (as much as possible) visible/controllable via Siri+home app.
I am currently using the yeelight m2 downlight as the most common smart light fixture in the house. This is in homekit natively via the yeelight mesh hub - however the main thing that annoys me about this, is the lack of adaptive lighting, even though all the lights support temperature control, you just can’t do it via Siri or via circadian rhythm. These lights can also be connected to the Xiaomi hub 3 which also natively supports HK, but not for these lights, so technically these lights can sit on the Xiaomi hub via BT, but not exposed to HK.

So naturally I have seen a lot of discussion on HA being a tinkerer and obsessed with smart home stuff. I’ve seen a few threads on here regarding Yeelight/BT that just seem to have died without any follow up discussions…
I am wondering if I can connect the Xiaomi hub to HA, and let HA expose the lights to HK while gaining adaptive lighting? the yeelight hub is proper dead in terms of ongoing support. I even bought the grey yeelight BT mesh hub pro, expecting that this would be an “updated” variant of the yeelight hub with a more likely chance of it getting updated to support adaptive lighting. turns out that the m2 bt bulbs are not compatible with the bt pro hub, only their “pro line of bt accessories” would be able to be used with the “pro hub”
Many thanks in advance! I’ll be lurking here for other opportunities to tinker
