The video shows step by step a full teardown, flashing BK7231 (WB2L_M1, WB2L, etc) and putting back together process. Futhermore, it shows how to deal with problematic WiFi module which has UART pads only on the back, so they are covered with another PCB…
The procedure on the video is shown by using BK7231N/WB2L_M1 module, but it would be very similiar in case of WB2L, CB2L, WB2S, etc etc, BK7231T and BK7231N are much more alike.
Thanks to this process the bulb is now 100% cloud free! And even works with Tasmota Device Groups.
Process is also very similiar to ESP8266, but the firmware flashed is OpenBeken - a multiplatform IoT firmware supporting BK7231T, BK7231N, BL602, W800/W801, W600,W601 and XR809 and soon more…
