Z-Wave (Deprecated) - Long Time Nodes Suddenly Dead

I have seen some related topics here, but none of the problems or solutions seem to match my issue(s). I have been running a number of switches across the house for months with no problem, so signal strength does not make sense as the issue.

I recently added 3 Zooz switches, the same as the ones I have been using, and a 4-in-1 sensor in a space that’s in-line with and closer to the stick than most of the other switches. These switches and sensor are working well, but now everything else pretty much is routinely reporting Dead.

I’ve tried testing, healing, restarting, rebooting, etc multiple times over the past couple of weeks. All of the Dead nodes work just fine at the switch. (One of the new switches doesn’t work at the switch, though, which suddenly started after about a week? Doubt that’s related, but figured I’d mention.)

Unfortunately, I’m at the limit of my meager knowledge on diagnosing this issue.

I’m including the Test log since I assume that may be the first thing that’s helpful. I’m running a AEON Labs ZW090 Z-Stick Gen5 US on Raspberry Pi, primarily Zooz products, Zen21 and Zen22, with a couple of Jasco fan switches and one Innovelli bulb.

I too am running into this issue, but with my Schlage Locks which have been solid for over a year…all of sudden they randomly go dead and I have to run heal or pull batteries to bring them back up…and it only lasts a while before they drop again.

It would be nice to know if there are things which are now broken as a result of other HA updates and deprecating the solid zwave integration that I’ve used since I first jumped on the HA wagon. I totally understand the desire to build out zwave_js, but I feel that we’ve been left stranded with something that is so critical to our day to day.

I’ve held off on the migration since zwave is very important at home (lots of devices invested + the recent drop in development the openzwave alternative that was pushed so hard a couple of months back).

Edited to add that I am also seeing switches (ceiling fan and wall switch) drop off too…Hopefully someone can help shed some light on all this.

One more thing, have you tried using the Test Node feature? This typically brings it back to life for me…good luck.

Doesn’t look like anyone is coming to the rescue on this… what a disappointment. I guess I’ll be finding some way to rebuild from the ground up.
