Is there a way to make a device report its status back to a Z-Wave device?
In my scenario, I just installed a Zooz ZEN30 double switch. If, for example, I use the relay button on the Zooz to turn OFF the ceiling fan, it reports that OFF status to Home Assistant fine. But if I use Siri to turn that same fan back ON, the Zooz still thinks the fan is OFF.
Can an automation trigger the reporting of the status change back to the Zooz device? Or is there another way of solving this?
It SHOULD already be reporting state back and if it’s not there’s an issue. So you’re troubleshooting a problem.
ZWave plus devices (the zen 30 is plus) should report status back to the controller and the controller should update its state with HA. From there something is getting horked up between siri and HA.
What ZWave integration are you using and have you checked the associations for your device to ensure the cotroller is properly listed in the lifeline group?
