I’m new to all this and trying to setup both a security system with option for professional monitoring and automations beyond security. I’ve started with HA and added Abode for security and it’s Z-Wave / Zigbee integration. So far I’ve implemented a couple of Z-Wave plugs and a dimmer. HA recognizes all the Abode and Z-Wave devices and I seem to be able to set up simple automations through both.
The Z-Wave dimmer seems slow to respond to the HA commands.
That’s got me wondering if it would be better to put a Z-Wave stick on my Raspberry Pi 4. Would I run into trouble with two Z-Wave hubs? Would I need to unpaired the Z-Wave devices from the Abode gateway?
Any experiences and thoughts would be appreciated.
