Z wave integration

z wave was working fine but I decided to clean up my hassio on my RPI and reinstall…and what should have been easy has not been.

My problem is that I can’t get my z wave devices added. I am using a z stick gen 5 and have a variety of z wave devices. I reinitialized the z stick (20 seconds holding in the reset button), I reset one of my neo_coolcam_power_plug_12a_switch outlets (hold in the button for 10 seconds)…

Installed hassio on ethernet, added wireless network using USB stick, added integration IOS…all works.

Now add integration for z wave…and I use /dev/ttyACM0 and get message that z-wave is integrated. Great. I check the OZW log and all it says is OpenZwave starting up…that’s it. So I then hit start network in zwave network management…and my z wave stick is found…but nothing else. (should I have done this or if I waited would it started itself??) OK…I then go to z-wave network management and hit ADD Devices. I go to my outlet, hit it three times quickly and the lights flash correctly…but it’s not added. Long OZW log which essentially says that my z wave stick has no neighbors…when I look at the z-wave integration, it says it found no devices!!! very strange…

I’m out of ideas…did I miss something?

You reset your stick, without removing the devices from the network first.

Are you sure your plug is close enough to the z-stick? It may take 10 - 15 seconds holding the plug button to reset it. You then need to wait at least 20 seconds before attempting to add the plug to the network. (according to the instructions with my plugs)

You will likely need to factory reset all your devices & add them back to your -wave network.
