Z Wave.js Driver Failed to Ope the Serial Port

I get this error when trying to utilize my Zwave.js devices from that panel.

I have the ZWave.js configured in the Devices section as seen here:

However, when I go to the ZWave.js section on the left hand menu, I get this error

Normally I see my devices there, however it seems that whenever I reboot, one starts before the other.

Any help on what is causing this and why is appreciated. Is there something I can do differently to make one start after the other?

In the ZWaveJS config, what do you have set for the Serial Port? Does this match what is in the hardware view of HA?
I had a lot of issues on reboots until I changed VirtualBox to pass the serial port and used that instead of USB.
Those were ack errors vs unavailable though so may not be helpful at all…

Are you talking about in my config.yaml file or somewhere else?

No, there is a config menu in ZWaveJS with a dropdown where you select your Serial Port.
Then you can check your Hardware to see it HA is recognizing anything on that port.

Might help to add some details of your setup. How are you running HA, Zwave device, etc.

Running HA on a Rpi 3B, with a Nortek controller Zwave / Zigbee

The configuration matches the hardware address…like I said sometimes it all works, other times I get the error, its like something is coming up before zwave.js is ready

Or something else is using Zwave controller

Possible, but I don’t know what that would be. All I have is zwave.js in the devices menu and on the left hand side menu as mqtt, so not sure whats causing the issue…
