Z-wave JS - Force dead node back alive?

During the last week I’ve suddenly have had 2x Fibaro FGWP102 (wall plug) apparently fail.

Both started with “node status: dead”, “node ready: yes”. After a reboot “node ready” changes to “no”.

When the second one failed I removed and re-added the device and voila, it’s back alive!
Offcourse, I will have to rename and/or reconfigure automations and dashboards to get it back into working conditions.

My concern is that the nodes are marked as Dead prematurely since it was possible to force-remove and reinclude the device and get it back into working condition. I have both water sensors and pumps on z-wave devices, and the wrong device failing without me noticing will cause serious problems (I know, I do plan to add a secondary failsafes when time allows).

Can I force the node marked as dead back alive in order to see if this is caused by some error?
Any thoughts on how to proceed to figure out what is happening and why?

Forgot to mention: Raspberry Pi4, SSD and Z-Stick Gen 5 in a USB-hub

After manually triggering the device a few times to see if the logs contain any useful information the device came back from the dead on its own.

There’s an option to “ping” a device to see if it is online in the network. Also ensure your Z-Stick does not suffer from SSD/USB3 interference.

Another option would be to either powercycle the “dead” device or configure some sort of automatic reporting (like sending power reports every 10 minutes)
