Z-Wave JS inovelli LZW42 is instant on/off

Migrated from OZW to Z-Wave JS which went pretty smoothly. Fixed up a few things (YAY! no more fan template for LZW36!) and I’m back in business. My only gripe is that the LZW42 bulbs now turn on/off instantly instead of ramping up/down when turning them on or off.

All the other dimmer switches and zigbee RGBW strip controllers I use do ramp up/down when turning them on/off. We quite like the ramp up/down and having only the bulbs instantly pop on/off now is very jarring. I’ve looked where I know to look and did a little searching but I have not seen anyone else mention it. The bulbs that are associated with a switch still work as expected when using the switch.

Am I missing a parameter somewhere? I definitely want it back to how it worked before.

Transitions (dimming duration) are currently not supported by zwave-js this is why the bulbs are instant on/off and color changes.

Thanks @firstof9 I was doing my searches based on “ramp rate” because it was a term I had read/heard before. On inovellis forum someone mentioned “transition” and once I searched fro the right term I understood what the issue was. I can definitely deal for now. The advantages of Z-Wave JS definitely outweigh my one gripe. Can’t wait for dimming duration to be supported!
