If link dBm signal strength is a tie between going directly to the controller and hopping through a repeater, it should go direct. Am I correct in thinking that’s the way the algorithm should work?
First, does it matter?
Second, you really cannot predict the path it takes second to second, and you don’t know all the decimal places in that number, so if it’s working it’s working.
That’s a good question. I am mostly curious about the route selection algorithm. I designed wide area networks for a large carrier and of course routing protocols are a common discussion. So again mostly just curious if it’s based upon a particular well known route selection algorithm or is it vendor specific proprietary tweaks.
