Z-wave non-secure vs secure devices

Which devices are non-secure and which are secure devices in Z-wave. What do you use in Z-Wave Network Management for Add a z-wave device ADD NODE SECURE OR ADD NODE.

You’ll want to add any locks you have as secure (ADD NODE SECURE).

AFAIK, all z-wave plus can do secure. I used secure mode when I could early on but after unrelated problem I rebuilt using non-secure to keep things easy; sometimes I had trouble using secured mode. Right now only device in network with secure mode is 1 door lock. Please don’t hack my house.

does this work with aeotech z stick?

I use an Aeotech Z-stick with a secure node (Schlage lock)

Thanks for confirming.

This is the model I use (older gen)
product_name: DSA02203 Z-Stick S2

How many sensors do you have with the Schlage lock? Is it the Schlage Connect?
