Does anyone know if there is a USB type dongle for Z-Wave Plus LR?
I just bought a couple of the Ring Glass Breakage sensors and couldn’t get them to pair. Looking inside the cover it show “Zwave Plus LR”. Looking up the spec, it appears to use a different frequency than what Z-Wave Plus uses. So it would seem I need a different dongle.
Hoping the rest of the protocol is the same so I can keep using ZWAVE JS I have.
All of the Z-Wave 700 controllers support LR, AFAIK. It’s just a matter of changing the region to LR-US.
Z-Wave JS software doesn’t support LR yet though. LR is optional, you can include any LR device in the traditional mesh network. The controller software chooses the inclusion method. I had the Ring Exterior Contact Sensor (also supports LR) and could include with Z-Wave JS without issue.
I am using the HUSBZB-1 and cannot get it to include. I had just added 2 Ecolink door sensors just before with no issue.
