I have 2 Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007 Thermostats in separate HA installations that are exhibiting the same problem. They will not respond when I change temperature set-points while they are in the “heating” operating mode.
So for example if I use the physical buttons on the thermostat to manually set them to 70 degrees, then go to HA and try to change it to 68 or 72 they will just stay on 70 (all of this is in heating mode).
Both thermostats work perfectly and respond to the temperature set-point I select when they are set to the “cooling” operating mode and I can set the operating mode without any problems from HA.
I have factory reset them and re-added them to the Z-wave network, with no luck.
My config file lists supported modes as:
Heat = Index 1, Cool = Index 2, Heat Econ = Index 11, Cool Econ = Index 12
But under Command_class_thermostat_setpoint it lists: Cooling 1 = Index 2, Unused 3 = Index 3, Dry Air = Index 8, Moist Air = Index 9
So maybe that’s why only cooling works? My HVAC system is a conventional 1AC/1Furnace setup and that is how the thermostat is configured, so I have no use for Dry Air, or Moist Heat.
Here is a paste of my OZW config for reference.
There is also an OpenZwave bug that may be relevant?
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.
