I added more wired switches to my system. The z2m map shows the old devices stay linked to the old routers like this:
Should I try to relink things to closer routers (orange)? How?
I;ve tried to permit only 1 station to link, but it still seems to jump elsewhere.
What’s with the floating ones (red)?
Whats with the double links (purple)?
It’s a mesh network. There can be many links between routing type devices.
They are either asleep or unconnected.
Re-pair the end devices (not routers). Many battery powered devices will not automatically move to a newly added router that is closer. Enabling permit join for the router you want should force the device to connect to that router if it can.
So for example I did repair some items to the kitchen because it is closer to the star. I only permitted join on the kitchen light.
But after all of that it’s is still joined to the star
