Z2MQTT - Zonoff Adapter get disconnected -

All worked for a year. Last couple of weeks all Zigbee devices have started to get unresponsive - I needed to restart the add-on z2mqtt.
I replaced the adaptor with another similar, same problem.
Change usb port, usb cable, no change, same problem. Every 12 hours or so, z2mqtt becomes unresponsive - adaptor error.

This indicates that something else is using the port. Do you have any other addons accessing the usb device?

Remember that works until it doesn’t. It does start, but it gets desconectad.

actually also BT ( so 4 total) , but I disconnected that one (BT) and the error still happens

The error in the logs points at the USB device in use for Z2M is locked by something else. I would check the config on the other addons using the other USB devices to make sure they point to a dev/serial/by-id, not TTYUSB0 and so on.

Check the other addons that they point to the correct devices.

You can point to either for example ttyACM0 or the serial/by-id address - both works, but the first example can change, the latter does not. Since the logs point at a possible lock of your USB device not originating from Z2M. I am assuming you do not have several zigbee2mqtt installations (normal / edge) that compete for the same stick.

So you want to make sure that all three addons point to the dev/serial/by-id addresses, not the ttyACM0 and so on. For Z2M this is done in the config, I don’t use the other two so can’t say where you do that, probably the same though.

Where possible you should use the /dev/serial/by-id/ path of the stick, instead of /dev/tty*. This is because the /dev/tty* path can change - for example /dev/ttyACM0 may become /dev/ttyACM1 and then later back to /dev/ttyACM0. The /dev/serial/by-id/ path won’t change.

No, isn’t that just copy / paste from the hardware information? You need to check in the addons. In the addons you tell it where your hardware is located. If you in one or more of the addons point to a tty* instead of a /serial/by-id change it to the latter.

In Z2M you have it correctly configured. (from your first post):
