ZAP2GO EV Home Charger Rental App: Testers Wanted!

Hello everyone,

Since June, I have been working on developing a new app concept: ZAP2GO. The concept behind ZAP2GO is to make it easy for individuals to rent out their charging stations through a central charging app with OCPP integration. Charging stations with OCPP compatibility can connect to our network for free, giving us control over the management of charging sessions. After registration, ZAP2GO gives you complete control over the availability and charging rates of your charger. Charging stations connected to our central system are displayed on the map in the app, and users can easily come to your charging station and start a charging session via the app.

Transactions are handled through a wallet system. ZAP2GO accounts work like a debit card, allowing users to charge only if they have a balance available. This prevents unexpected costs and possible chargebacks after charging sessions. Balances can be topped up using iDeal, Klarna, Bancontact, and SEPA. We currently only support countries located in the European Union.

Today, the first version of the app has been released on the Google Play Store, and I am looking for enthusiastic testers who would like to try out the app. The OCPP integration, in particular, is a feature I have put a lot of effort into, and I am looking for testers with various charger brands to ensure that everything works smoothly with different charging stations. Specifically:

Aflen
Easee
EVBOX
Keba

So far, tested with full compatibility:

  • Wallbox Pulsar PLUS
  • Successfully tested with Tesla & MG

If you would like to help and contribute to the improvement of the ZAP2GO app, please install it from the Play Store and try it out with your specific charger. I would love to hear how the app performs, which features you like, and where improvements can be made.

Best regards,
Arthur (ZAP2GO Developer)
