I’ve just purchased a zbmini, was hoping to put it at the ceiling rose, however I only have a single twin & earth cable there.
Opened up the switch and have 3 sets of twin & earth’s
2 lives go into the COM port
1 into L1
3 neutrals into N-LOOP
Is there any special reason why you want to install the Zbmini at the ceiling rose?
I would simply install it inside the switch box behind the switch itself. Thus L, L1 & N from/to the switch is close and whenever you have trouble with the Zbmini (i.e. freezed, needs re-pairing) you don’t have to bother with a ladder to reach that Zbmini at the ceiling rose.
Adam, This is what I did also. the switch itself would see, iirc, 3V or 5V, to switch on-off the zbmini.
A note, though, you would want to test how much Amps:
When your ceiling fan is running
During the first few seconds when your ceiling fan starts running
… because the Amp number from #2 could be many times higher than the #1. (I was told 7x, but the response time of my multimeter is not good enough to capture this.) And you would want to compare the max Amp number to the specs with your zbmini.
