Hi, i am using ZHA with a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 Model E.
Pairing a Pilips Hue bulb is working fine, but i also want to pair my new Ikea Tradfri Bulbs e27 1055lm. It is not possible to pair them. I also tried to switch them on/off 6 times, but they are not blinking.
I seem to remember getting the Ikea bulbs into pairing mode was a real PIA. I think I had to use the TouchLink method on one bulb. I think bulb firmware version might have an effect on how easy it is to get bulb in pairing mode. Thread linked below has some tips. Good hunting!
I just spent hours trying to get this to work and finally worked it out so that it works 100% of the time so, time to share the knowedge.
The trick is in the timing. I followed someone’s advice and just half unscrewed the globe and screwd it back in 6 times. I saw the slight dim and then instantly (INSTANTLY) clicked +Add Device. 1 second and BOOM! I had a globe. I have since repeated this a few times and it works each time.
I can confirm this with two bulbs. Kind of weird, but timing seems to have an effect: At first get the bulb into pairing mode, then maybe wait one or two seconds and couch search for devices in Home Assistant. I gave this several tries and waited for the timeout of the ZigBee search in between. Putting the bulb into pairing mode while search was already ongoing for some time just didn’t work…
