ZHA Entity Naming Convention

Sometime over the last several months, ZHA (and possibly other setups) changed their naming conventions when sensors are added. I have a Aqara magnet sensor that I added last year and it was added as:

binary_sensor.lumi_lumi_sensor_magnet_aq2_3cbfc406_on_off

But today I reinstalled HA and added the same sensor, it came out as:

binary_sensor.lumi_lumi_sensor_magnet_aq2_opening_2

Is there any way to go back to the previous naming method? If I cant, I would need to change hundreds of references in my NR. thx.

I’m sure I’m being dense, but “NR” ?

No way to go back I know of, short of using a version prior to the change to do the initial setup in.

Node red I think.

Ahhhh, OK. Don’t use Node Red myself. But I’m the type that manages Windows networks from the command line.

If that’s all it is, then wouldn’t just renaming the devices/entities manually work? The default naming convention is just a default. No requirement to keep what ZHA suggests.
