While Home Assistant is full throttle on their UI/UX improvements. It should be really nice to see things happen in ZHA as well. One big thing is the possibility of updates there. I see nice things in Zigbee2MQTT where you always can see the current versionnumber of the device, and just use a button to kick off an update.
In ZHA you need to go into the settings and set up the OTA updates there, restart, then for a verisonnumber you have to kickoff some cluster attributes. Should be really nice to have some UI/UX improvements on this side of Home Assistant as well.
Yeah for sure. Indeed Z-Wave get’s a lot of attention to improve their UI/flow. Should be really nice to see that for the integrated ZHA as well. Things like seeing which version the devices are on, should be good to see it directly, instead of having to go deep into the settings and trigger events and stuff.
Also updating them is now a party of YAML and then triggering devices and stuff. Also the visualization of the network seems better in for example Zigbee2MQTT. I want to stay at ZHA because of the ease of use of adding devices and integrated into HA itself. Let’s hope for some overhaul sometime
