ZHA Symfonisk Sound Controller - No response in logbook

Paired the remote/controller with ZHA/HA, but when clicking the device or rotating the volume control - there are no events shown in the device logbook (as it does with other remotes).
Any ideas what I’m doing wrong or how I can trace the issue? Thanks

As you can see here no logbook entries:

But with this TRADFRI remote it shows logbook events for button presses:

Following some feedback I recieved elsewhere its not uncommon for battery based devices to ‘go to sleep’ before the process has completed. So it was resolved by removing the device, re-adding it (but often clicking it to keep awake) whilst right next to the co-ordinator.
