Zigbe2mqtt update and missing entities

Hi,

I have a problem with my philips hue since the last zigbee2mqtt update (I believe).

The dial behaves normally in the zigbe2mqtt integration. If I check the “state” and “expose” , everything behaves normally, all the information is there. In particular the action is shown (button press, hold, … as shown in Philips 8719514440937/8719514440999 control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT)

On the other end one of “action” entity in home assistant disappeared: sensor.<dial_name>_action. All others entities are present (step size, …).

Does anyone know if this could be a consequence of the update? Is there any way I can get back that entity?

P.S. re-pairing after force-remove does not solve the issue.

Hope someone can help!

Have a great day!

This is a breaking change in Z2M 2.0.

You need to re-enable the “ Home Assistant legacy action sensors” in Z2M config (but you can also do it via the Z2M UI).

Please search the forum before posting. There are already many topics on this. Here’s one that shows how to use the new entities without reverting to the old legacy system: SNZB-01P No Action Function (N/A) - #2 by tom_l
