Here is a Zigbee 3 smart plug which also acts as a Repeater.
Installation was a breeze with Home Assistance.
This bridged the gap I needed for a sensor far back in the garage which was going online/offline frequently.
I was looking for a repeater which was Zigbee 3 and supported ZHA in order to get the new standards going forward. I was also looking for something quick and easy to install.
I will be honest, its larger than I expected. Being plugged in the lower socket does cover the entire wall outlet.
Wasn’t too concerned as it does have a single controlled plug and the fact I have never used the A/C outlet in the laundry room
Been using the device for a while. However, any power hiccup or fluctuation it plays havoc on the devices being relayed through. Ended up removing the device with something different.
What did you end up switching to? I’ve got a HUSBZB-1 hooked up to my NAS (which is running Home assistant as a VM) in the basement, but the range leaves something to be desired. I’ve found I can use a couple of my lightbulbs as repeaters but those occasionally get flicked off at a switch. Hoping to find something I can just plugin out of the way to improve the zigbee network.
Cause I have my TVs/Serio’s, etc on surge protectors and Cable boxes/Laptops on battery backups, I’ve plugged them into the battery backups side so they don’t go down during power flickers.
