Zigbee Dimmer Avatto: Physical Impulse switch - not working

Avatto: 1ch Dimmer Zigbee
Model: DMS16/ZDMS16.
Sonos USB 3 E dongle.
Jung: impulse-switch 531EU

in HA this dimmer works fine. Turn in on/off, dimmer from 5% to 99%
But i have added the impulse switch, this will turn it on or off for the time it is pushed, but when releasing the button, it turns of or on again.
In the manual it is mentioned:
short push(<1s) permanent on or off
long push (>1s) adjust the brightness/dimmer

Anyone have a solution. or same experience?

I just installed such a device today. For zigbee devices I use zigbee2mqtt. The switch type variable must be set to momentary, then it works.

Hi, I bought this one.

I’m adding to home assistant via Zigbee dongle from HA, so no Tuya.
After integration I don’t see any action toggles. The only entity is “firmware”

Can you advise how to switch ON/OFF?

I got Avatto ZDMS16-2, so the two channel version and can confirm, that dimming does not work with a momentary switch. Switch type is set to momentary in zigbee2mqtt and long press does not have any effect.
Btw. setting min and max brightness does not change anything.

Yes, I can confirm the same. ZHA does not work with this, Zigbee2MQTT is mandatory for this device to fully work with a momentary (pulse type) wall switch. Then the switch is able to turn it on by a short press and turn it off the same way. Holding it dims the output up or down etc. This does not go very smooth at all and very choppy. It even seems that the speed to rise and lower accelerates at some point so to put it at a desired dimming you might end up going back and forth multiple times.
Also, it is very important that you find out which minimal brightness setting you want the dimmer to dim down to and set this after, and then learn what the max output value the (LED) light does not change of light intensity any more and set this as well. This to end up with the best dimming response and to prevent that the lights do not go off at the lowest dimming.

I would after my experience NOT recommend this dimmer to anyone, there are way better one out there, even from AE.

Hmm, I actually want to use it without any external switch, and even then, I see the 2 light entities in HA and I could switch them on/off or change the brightness but it doesn’t physically do anything. Pressing the little built in button does turn the lights on/off. I hope this gets a working fix because it’s such a cute device that looks like it has a lot of promise
