I want to have a Tuya Zigbee energy meter but i don’t know exactly which one to order.
I want to know how much total energy my house (single phase on an analog meter) ) is consuming. Easy done with a single Tuya Zigbee Single Clamp Energy Meter you may think. But… i have solar panels who delivers energy back. This kind of meters cannot measure delivered power only used power.
The Bi-Directional CT meter variant can solve this problem with a second clamp which has to be installed on the wire which come from the converter. This clamp is exactly the same clamp so i wonder if there is a difference in these two clamps? If not it is maybe better to bye the one with three clamps or buy a meter who can measure used and delivered power in one clamp like Tuya Smart Bi Directionele WiFi Energiemeter 150A Klemstroomsensor Transformator Solar PV Tweeweg Power Monitor 110V 240VAC but don’t know if this kind of meter is reliable and supported in HA.
Someone with a good advise?

Stay away from Tuya Wifi labeled devices as you will be reliant on their cloud software and dev portal to even start to use tuya local/local tuya options and they won’t run or do anything without an internet connection due to this requirment.
Tuya Zigbee specific ones are true local only majority of the time so see if you can find reviews for the ones that you are looking into.
The direction of the clamps indicates the flow of the tracked current as such in most cases any flow registered going the reverse would be calculated as going back to the grid. The number of clamps used is for your regions grid phase cables, 1 for single phase, 2 for 2 phase and 3 for 3 phase.
Installs should always be done by a licensed electrician regardless of the one you go with.
