Zigbee external network (outside LAN)

Hello everybody! I would like to know… How can I setup a zigbee network outside? I mean, not in my Local Area Network. Internet access is not an issue but with a different router.

I’ve already got Home Assistant with zigbee2mqtt and one CC2531 adapter at home, but this new project is because I need to control several zigbee devices in a country house.

Thanks in advance!

Dedicated Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 with a coordinator device, Zigbee2mqtt container and a remote MQTT server to connect to. Use MQTT integration with HA to connect to the same MQTT server and go.

CC2530 connected to a wemos d1 mini ( yes wemos connected to network with wifi  )

Install espeasy on the wemos d1 mini and set it up as serial server.
Set up a port forward on your router if the zigbee hardware is located behind a different router / internet connection/location. VPN site to site is another options instead of port forward

install the zigbee2mqtt addon in Hassio and user the tcp mode for serial in the zigbee2mqtt config.

More info can be found here -> https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/information/connecting_cc2530.html

Used this in several cases and works like a charm for a few euro on hardware

But the pi method from m0mwlheld had the advantage of mqtt and resending the data is case data gets missing on the internet.

I sell LAN Coordinator, what can be managed outside of your local LAN,if you do all portforwarding on your router.
