Zigbee home automation integration identifies the device as unknown - no entities

I could easily get my zigbee thermostat perfectly recognized though SmartLife.

If I use zigbee home automation integration in Home Assistant, instead, it sees it too, but then just a generic device is found, with no entities assigned to it.

How can I fix this? thank you

Indicate the device signature, please

I’m still blocked, but I could do one step further.
Now the device “sees” 2 disabled entities:

I can “enable” such entities, in this case I see their values (176 and -56 as shown in the picture above), however I can’t understand what they mean. Anyway, this is a thermostat so I need to connect the thermostat template but if I do it, I get an error.
This is the zigbee device signature:

Have you tried restarting HA after you paired it? That sometimes is required for me.

Also I have had luck just clicking on “reconfigure device” and those unknown entities appear.

Actually I tried several times and with 2 different Home Assistant installations with different zigbee hubs, but it never worked.

This is clearly a problem related to this specific valve, which doesn’t match an existing “template” in hassio. So I’m wondering how I could force the device/entity definition in the configuration files.

I have no idea how to do it but my understanding is there are things called “quirks” that are needed for some zigbee devices.

Maybe google that and see what needs to be done to get them added to HA?

Actually I’m not sure why I have 2 ZHA:

Both of them use the same Quirk and they can theoretically discover zigbee devices, but only the second one is able to do it:

I raised a bug on core https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/66400
