I have set up 16 Zigbee devices but just got the Honeywell Smoke Detector.
I have set up a cheaper one which has a Trigger of:
“SMOKE DETECTOR 01 Smoke started detecting smoke”
But with the Honeywell one the only Trigger I have:
“SMOKE DETECTOR Honeywell Identify has been pressed”
which is useless.
Anyone help with finding a Trigger for the Honeywell one of:
“Smoke started detecting smoke”
Thanks
Thanks for replying. It is like a general question like other times I have not had listed what I have needed.
The top two in the attached photo are for the smoke detector I have working and the next two are the new Honeywell one.
There is nothing there like for the old one in regard to smoke.
Even the top it says " SMOKE DETECTOR Honeywell Identify [u]HAS BEEN PRESSED[/u which is wrong but there is no other listing.
Maybe there is something elsewhere for smoke I have not found?
Thanks.
I am not sure if I need to install the smoke detector onto the MiHome app first. I am using Home Assistant.
For the MiHome app it needs Xiaomi Smart Home Hub 2 or Mi Smart Home Hub or Aqara Hub or Mi Control Hub.
I am using ZigBee Repeater Amplifier USB Signal Extender.
So not sure if the detector needs a different controller?
Is it a binary_sensor what is giving you the state of the new smoke detector? If it’s not reporting the correct alarm status you may be having reception issues. Can you test with it closer to the Zigbee hub?
If you remove the battery the detector won’t be able send the current battery level, thus HA still showing the last level it got (100%).
I have three ZigBee Repeater Amplifier USB and the Battery Level and Device Temperature seem to be working all around the house. I have tried close to the Repeaters.
The battery level recently decreased to 91% from 100%.
