Zigbee light mesh on a different coordinator?

So i read somewhere that zigbee lights don’t forward non light messages…and it was recommended to put the lights on a different coordinator to avoid them forwarding messages they can’t handle.

Is that true ? I always thought i was strengthening my mesh by adding bulbs, but it seems this is only for lightbulbs ?

Fake News. My Innr, IKEA and HUE bulbs are happily forwarding to Innr and Blitzwolf smart sockets and vice versa.

Nice, thanks. Good to know. FYI, found the link, it’s from hubitat docs, they mention it at the bottom.

There are concepts of ZHA v. ZLL but i dont think thats what they’re talking about. (and yku likely dont need to be concerned about it)

Here, they’re actually referring to Sengled bulbs in that article. Sengled made a strategic decision to no allow thier bulbs to act as repeaters. (Personally i like it, makes network planning easier when people might turn a bulb off). Sengleds will always be end devices. The author chose the wording ‘bulbs may or may not repeat’
