Zigbee MQTT and Home Assistant's MQTT broker > version 4.0

Hi all,

I am running consistently into the following problem:

  • I update to a version of the “native” MQTT broker that’s higher than 4.0
  • No more MQTT integrations work anymore
  • I revert back to MQTT broker version 4.0
  • Everything works again

Why is this the case? It’s the most obvious for me for the Zigbee MQTT gateway, but I experience the same with my personal sensor based on a RPi0 and the client there.
