Hello all,
I would like to consult my situation:
I live on the top floor of the house. The layout of the house is, there are garages on the ground floor and there are three floors up.
I tried the range of my Zigbee network today. I found, I can connect in the front of the house, but not in the garage. Any sugestion on how to extend Zigbee network into the garage from my flat?
Note: I have the computer network connection in the garage via UTP cable from my home.
Thanks in advance for ideas!
PS: I could create second Zigbee network, but before I do it, I would like to be sure, there no other, cheeper option.
A lamp with a zigbee bulb in the window in the flat and something similar (bulb, power plug) in the garage might do the trick. If there’s outdoor lighting outside the garage door you could try placing a Zigbee bulb in that too if possible.
Some active device in my home (next to the window) is possible, but not outside of the garage (too accessible by any person walking around. I suppose small complication is just the fact, there is a small “canopy” above garage door, which efectively reduces any signal from the inside of the garage.
You might be better off setting up a new network. Since you have a network connection down to the garage you could use a network based coordinator as the SLZB, UZG-01 and so on.
