Zigbee on USB 3.0 (there is no USB 2 Slot available)

Heyhey
After my zigbee network worked extremely well with a Sonoff stick suddenly (I have no idea what has changed) some devices startet dropping the network and needed to be re-paired.
So I deceided to get a sky connect stick and migrate my radio.
While migrating I had some issues and I now want to set up a completely fresh zigbee network.
What I got is about 90 devices. (around 20 plugs {from aqara, thirdreallity, and phillips hue}), one innr bulb, and many battery powered devices (Aqara and third reallity buttons, lot of aqara ht, and some other stuff).
I am waiting for some more third reallity plugs, to ensure having a rock solid mesh (will be about 25 plugs all over the place here).

But I have one problem.
I am using an intel NUC which has 3 USB A ports. All of them are blue, so I suppose all of them are running USB 3.0. And there are two USB C ports. Dont know what USB they are running.
But I think this machine doesnt have any USB 2 port.
So I have to connect my Sky connect to USB 3 (which worked with my Sonoff perfectly well for a bout 1.5 years).
Is there anything I can do to reduce the "Sky Connect shouldnt be connected to USB 3 problem?
Getting an USB 2 extension cable for example?

And while setting up my new zigbee network I wanted to first add all the mains powered devices of course. Does it help to wait a bit between adding new devices?
I mean wait for all the mains powered devices to form a mesh (wait 2 or 3 hours) and pair battery powered devices after this with some time in between?
Or doesnt this change anything?

The problem with USB3 is that USB 3.0 operates at 5 Gbps data rate and can generate broadband noise in the 2.4-2.5 GHz range. (USB2 is 480 Mbps). The noise emitted from USB 3.0 devices can affect the SNR of wireless devices, limiting their sensitivity.

Two things you can do to alleviate these problems are 1) use an extension cable to locate the dongle about 1 meter from WiFi devices, and 2) Add a Zigbee Router (a cheap ThirdReality switch works fine) within a couple of meters from the dongle.

USB-C only describes the connector, but it is likely to also be 3.0

It is also possible that you can set your USB speed in the system BIOS. I have never needed to do this, but it may mean that all of your USB is set at one speed or the other. Not good if you plan to use attached storage.

Use a USB2 hub

Thanks :o)
I just bought a 3m USB 2 extension cable (because its longer than the one shipped with the sky connect).
With this I can glue the sky connect to my wall with a distance of 2.5m to the NUC.
And about 3 meters away from this I got an outlet.
