Ove got an idea but don’t think its advised, plug 3 devices into the 3 socket and plug a 3 gang extension plug into the last socket
another thought what about this
Would it attach to ha?
Meross is a known brand so it should work with out issues, certain products from them work through an integration they have in HA but if its zigbee or matter based just set it up as normal.
As for using a dual socket plug I have a vertical 2 gang one I currently use in the bathroom to connect my smart plug I use for the washing dryer combo and the power strip until I get a dual gang installed in the future.
so all 6 individual sockets would be accessible in ha, and 1 on/off switch for all 4 USB ports
Yes it would be the same as the others in the thread function wise, the only difference is the brand and how its connected and if they have the ability for per port power monitoring as well or not.
doesn’t mention power monitoring
Most don’t, if you need power monitoring its better to just use a dumb power strip with smart plugs that fit in all the sockets you need to use devices with at the time.
i.e I have zigbee plugs setup on the UPS power strips for all the gear I have plugged in to provided backup power restoration automatically and to track per device power usage in HA.
That said matter is getting an update in the near future to support power monitoring in devices as such firmware updates may roll out to current ones if the companies still exist at the time to get it implemented… we’ll see.
I only need power monitoring for 1 device, I will just plug in 1 of my smart plugs with power monitoring into 1 of the sockets
I ordered the meross 6 gang home kit version and it works great for what I want
