This question is so dumb that I had to delete it.
Believe both.
Zigbee and ZWave are two completely separate networks. You won’t see zigbee devices on the zwave map or zwave devices on the zigbee map.

Zigbee is not ZWave.
Zigbee2MQTT for Zigbee stuff ZWaveJS for ZWave stuff.
They will not show in each other’s consoles but consolidate in HA.
The map is notoriously… Suboptimal.
The spec doesn’t specify ‘closer’ as the criteria in choosing a parent. There’s plenty of variables with the biggest being if the coordinator answered first in the pairing and it was in range…
No not all devices automatically change parent. Some never do.
If it works. Ignore the map.
