Sorry if this is in the wrong place. The Cisco 9100 APs have Zigbee radios on them. I’m curious how or if you can use those APs to run your zigbee network for schools or other places. I know you can run apps on some of the Catalyst 9000 switches but guessing that Home Assistant doesn’t have a version for it. I have also not looked at using docker to run the app.
At least Cisco documentation describes rather heavy infrastructure and most basic 9100-series APs won’t do it. Per Cisco documentation, 9800-series controller is needed, along with Cisco Spaces software and non-free license for AP’s software too. Free basic-version of license is not eligible for Zigbee.
So, in theory, it’s possible. In reality, seems highly unlikely anyone would implement it soon, if ever.
