Zigbee Smoke Sensor with Hue Bridge?

I have replaced all my Fibaro smoke sensors (and all other Fibaro devices) and I am looking now for a new smoke sensor I can connect to my smart system. Is it possible to connect a Zigbee smoke sensor with a Hue bridge or do I need a new zigbee bridge?
So far I have running some stupid sensors and as first smart device I plan to place it in the top floor of our staircase.
THX!

I would be interested to see if another view exists but from my knowledge…Hue only communicates to Hue devices…so if your new zigbee one is not Hue then I guess ‘not’

Thx. So I should concern buying a zigbee bridge. Any recommendation?
Another solution could be a a Homematic senbsor - but they do not have that good feedback… another thing: I loved the Fibaro for their design and they also measure heat… but unfortunately I had too much false alarm with them over the years. So nice looking sensor would be an advantage…

There are plenty of people happy with the cheap Sonoff stick, I use the more expensive Conbee II and also happy (almost 3 times the price but German and firmware updated reasonably often).
Note that migrating from stick to stick often means re-pairing, I read that one can migrate but my experience is different

Edit: please also think twice on why you need this stick, if it is just for the smoke stuff then I might not do it…unless you have budget and fun to tinker around with it
If this is a first step to more zigbee stuff, review if you want zigbee2mqtt of ZHA (see plenty of other posts)…my view: z2m covers more devices

These are highly regarded: https://www.tubeszb.com/ The wait list is usually not long.

Thanks Tom, as I only have had one stick so far and not-changing-a-running-system… Can I ask you to add your experience on this, i.e. what positive stuff made you add this link

It just works. With everything. No issues. Excellent range too.

I bought a Conbee II and use it with zigbee2mqtt (I think it’s much better than deconz). The Conbee’s antenna seems to be quite good.

But concerning smoke sensors I would advise switching to zwave with an Aoetec USB stick and ABUS SHRM10000. I own nine of them (price was around 30 EUR per sensor).

Why? Yet another stick I would not want but maybe you have good arguments  I lived without zwave nicely and not seeing any reason to make (my) env. more complex

I want to get away from Z-Wave. Besides the issue with many false alarms of my Fibaro smoke sensors I had some issues with connectivity although I had a lot of Wall-Plugs in place to ensure connectivity…
Regarding Zigbeee I have the Hue Bridge and I am not happy abaout bringeing another base station in place. And an USB stick is no way for me as I have running home assitiant on my synology NAS in the basement.

Then zigbee will give you the same issue… you need a stick unless you acquire Hue smoke sensors (not even sure if these exist) or you plug the stick into another machine in your house (not basement)

You can put the Tubes Ethernet zigbee coordinators anywhere you have network access.

It depends on how many smoke sensors you want to install in your home.
The sensors from Abus are quite cheap (in Germany) but very reliable. That‘s why I have chosen them.
I have a Hue bridge and an additional Conbee II USB stick. So it‘s not a Zwave vs Zigbee decision for me. It‘s just about the sensors.

how do you “use” the SHRM10000? Did you write an automation?
I bought a couple of those and integrated them into my home-assistant via an usb stick. Now i dont really know whats next…
I dont really know the states of the single entitiys and what do expect. I would apreceate some tipps.

Thx.

There’s not much magic about the SHRM10000.

I integrated them via Z-Wave JS into HomeAssistant. Important for me are only two sensors:
“Smoke detected” and “Battery Level”.

So I created two automations: one informs when smoke is detected (via telegram messenger) and the other one when the battery level gets too low.

Do you know if one of the sensors detects smoke the others will be triggert too (alarmwise)?

No, they are not connected. This needs to be implemented in HA using something that is loud enough.

Thank you for the info.
