Hi guys. I was wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction. I have tried to add an antenna to my zigbee2mqtt using the Hackaday instructions (photo below). The signal is slightly worse than when I started. What have I done wrong?

It’s not easy to help with this remotely. Check your soldered connections with a multimeter. Make sure you use a right antenna (female/male).

I have wasted many hours of trouble shooting to find that exact simple error.
Thanks for your helpful responses. I’ve checked continuity which all seems ok. Definitely have a female connector and male antenna. Even tried sticking a 59 mm wire into the socket and it makes no difference. Any other ideas? I may just give up and order one with an antenna pre soldered!
