I have an eWeLink SWITCH-ZR03-1 controlled by ZHA (using a Nortek HUSBZB-1 USB stick) that operates a water circulation pump. I tried to automate it based on some triggers, but decided to just toggle it manually, for now.
However, I find it randomly turning on. I’ve deleted my already-disabled automations for it, restarted HA and, restarted the host but it has not resolved the issue. My HA OS installation is up-to-date as are all my add-ons.
I just ordered a replacement plug as a last means of troubleshooting but I’m still wondering if there’s something wrong with my configuration.
Any ideas for me? What other information should I provide?
A common cause for lights or switches to turn on without a apparent cause is intermittent power loss to the device, combined with the setting for what the device should do when power is restored. In this case the logs will name only the device itself and no thing to trigger it.
So check the logs around the time the switch magically turns on, the wiring of the device and the settings of the device for power up behavior.
Another reason could be an unwanted direct link between some remote and the switch. These direct links with zigbee are formed involves physical proximity, which I always found to be an error prone and unreliable procedure. I prefer z-wave mostly due to that reason.
