Zigbee TS011F switches off automatically

Hey,
I have a zigbee TS011F plug adapter switch ( https://a.aliexpress.com/_mN7tkkJ ) I have a heater connected to. Ever since I had a power cut, when I turn on the device whether it be physically on the switch or via the entity, it turns on then immediately turns off. Happens with or without the heater connected.
I have no automations associated, I’ve tried removing from HA and adding back in.

Anyone else experienced this?

Cheers

There is an old (and very long) issue about this in the Z2M github going all the way back to 2022 regarding these plugs.

Basically, they switch the relay off immediately on 2 conditions: when input voltage is too low (detected as 0v) or when it is too high (>250v).

Given you said it was working before the power cut, I’d suspect it’s reading a high voltage and shutting down.
Check the voltage reading on the plug without anything plugged in. If it’s too high, you could try to check if there’s a firmware update available for it. If it reads within the expected range, then something might have fried the internals and it’s shutting down as a safety measure. In that case, it’s safer to toss it and grab a replacement.

Voltage read fine.
Ended up binning it :frowning:
