Zigbee USB setup

I have a zigbee Texas Instruments CC2531 usb
inserting it into a bare-metal linux pc results in a directory being cretaed:
/dev/serial/by-id/usb-Texas_Instruments_TI_CC2531_USB_CDC___0X00124B0014D956FC-if00

inserting it into a raspberry pi running home assistant does not create that directory.

Yet, the system for HA says the device is located in that directory.

I created an issue on HA github, but it has been ‘resolved’ because the device works.
It just cannot be accessed by anything else because the directory does not exist.

I fail to understand how the device works, when pointers are not correct.

I assume you run Home Assiatant OS or Home Assistant Supervised on the Pi? If so, the HA handles everything for you and mount the usb devices directly to the home assistant docker container. I don’t know the details, but I assume it creates a symlink.

Solved.
Removed USB, reboot.
Removed aerial, inserted USB - reboot.
pan-id changed (but then self reverted back to 6754)
replaced aerial
now sending data to mqtt broker
