Zigbee water level, pump control and flow meter board off Aliexpress

Hey, absolute newbie here.
I bought https://a.aliexpress.com/_mrvXlE4 from AliExpress and in theory, it should be able to give me the ability to see how much water is in my water tank, how much water has been transferred and be able to control a pump (or two) from the board.

IMHO, a pretty awesome board given that I (and many people) live out of town and town water is 70km’s away and having multiple water tanks means manual management of the water we have.

But, the manufacturer keeps wanting me to connect it to TuYa app via their zigbee controller to get it to work.

I mean I can do that and get access via the tuya plugin, but I’m wanting to get this to work directly with zigbee.

Talking to the manufacturer, they are giving nothing away.

How should/could I proceed. It adds to zigbee, but it has no configuration. Do I just follow the dev console guide and poke around 'till I find something (again newbie here)?

ZHA or zigbee2mqtt?

Thanks. I embraced this (zigbee2mqtt) under homeseer and now have a HA install that for thr most part works fine with zigbee devices.

It’s just new devices that aren’t in the ‘library’ of zigbee2mqtt. These need special work to get them configured in HA (and homeseer), but just don’t know how to go about it in HA (or HS for that matter).
