I have changed my bulbs to Hue, which I successfully connected with ZHA and can control from HA. My wall switches turn off the electricity to the bulbs, so when the switch is off I cannot remotely turn on the bulb. In order to solve that I got some Zigbee switch modules (the whitelabel Tuya), but they’re still cutting the power to the bulbs, at least now I can restore power remotely as well. Unfortunately the Hue bulbs reset the color when you accidentally turn the power on/off twice. In the Hue space the consensus seems to be to let the bulb be powered all the time and just send the on/off signal via zigbee.
So I’m searching for a module (a small one so I can put it behind my european wall switch) which has the following functionality:
- Expose the relay to ZHA, so I can cut the power e.g. if I want to change the bulb
- Expose a button to ZHA, so I can turn on/off the bulbs via Zigbee
- The walls witch should not control the relay but instead the button
I currently have ZT3L based Tuya switches, it is of course possible I set them up wrong. Maybe there is some alternative firmware one can flash like Tasmota? I would be haply to use my existing switches if I’m able to make them work as described.
