Zigbee2mqtt - added 2nd router but devices wont bind to them

I have a custom built CC2530 router right next to my controller that has everything synced with it. A few far reaching devices will go super low quality signal sometimes, so I added an Aqara zigbee power switch, which is a router as well.

However, those devices aren’t associating with the new Aqara router. Even ones that don’t necessarily have bad signal, are way closer to this new one and still associating with the CC2530 router that’s much further away.

Here is my map - anything that’s drawing red lines should be going to Aqara in theory since it’s much closer.

Xiaomi device don’t switch router by themselves very often. Almost never. So re-pairing them in place or turning off the controller (for about 1 hour) would be the right course of action. Or just wait about a week. They might jump eventually.

And even then, there is no guarantee they will use your aqara router. Zigbee devices search their own route, which might be unpredictable.
