I need to extend my zigbee2mqtt installation (Raspbian) to have a more stable connection for Aqara Temp Sensor which are too far away from the Zigbee USB Connector.
Can I use the Smart Plug E2 as Repeater?
Do I need to pair the repeater to Zigbee2mqtt or would it work just as “Plug an Play” if I do not need to remote control the Plug?
The Plug is not recognized by zigbee2mqtt because its an older version. Tried to upgrade it, but then I also needed to upgrade node and after installing node20 nothing worked anymore and I reverted back to node12 to get everyting working again.
So either I move to a new RPi with a fresh installation or I need to dig into it when I have more time
