Zigbee2MQTT crashing constantly WITHOUT error in logs

Hi Guys!
First, I know there are many similar topics in this forum, but they all seem to have a different question than mine.

I have been using Zigbee2MQTT with the Mosquitto broker for a few months without any problems on my Mac Mini with HA OS in Virtual Box. Suddenly (a few days after installing Cloudflared and setting it up, but may be unrelated) Z2M starts to crash several times a day until it does not start anymore and just stops when it starts.
I tried all kinds of reboots and the addon worked for about three days while Node-Red was stopped. As of today, this trick no longer works.
This is the newest log file: (had to shorten it)

The log files do not contain any errors as far as I can tell. Let me know, if you need more details.
This is the device history of some of my Zigbee Devices. As you can see, not much up-time .

I have almost given up on my project “independence from manufacturer Zigbee Bridges” because my family is no longer accepting the fact that devices are no longer controllable :grimacing:.
I really hope that someone here can help me. Thank you very much!

I just found this new reply to a simmilar topic. I am trying it now, maybe RAM is indeed the issue

I am having the same issue with zigbee2mqtt (crashing and no logs with errors). The comment from derTheo made me look at the console of my VM and there I could see logs for processes being killed due to lack of memory. I have increased the memory and so far it seems to be more stable.

So im not the only one… i broke my whole cloudflare authentication due to this error

This started happening to me a week ago. I’ve just reinstalled HA entirely in my Raspberry Pi 3 but as soon as I enable Zigbee2MQTT I get this crash and the whole system restarts.

Everything was working before as expected but I’m not sure how to debug.

Hello,

@Chompas

What type of zigbee adapter are you using?
CC2531 ?

Hi

If you have only 1GB of memory, that is the reason for the issue.
You should consider upgrading to a Raspberry Pi 4.

Best regards
