Zigbee2mqtt not showing devices

Hello,

Im new to Hassio, and trying to setup the zigbee2mqtt in combination with mosquito broker but not getting the devices shown in the “intergrations” part of the MQTT

Looking at the log’s everything seems to be fine the (test) device just does not show in my device list. Can someone please have a look at my setup?

Hassio configuration.yaml

mqtt:
discovery: true
broker: 192.168.178.23:8123 # Remove if you want to use builtin-in MQTT broker
birth_message:
topic: ‘hass/status’
payload: ‘online’
will_message:
topic: ‘hass/status’
payload: ‘offline’

Also the automatic setup of the broker does not work, i constantly get the error : cannot connect to broker

Just had a quick look.

I think you have a wrong configuration.
Mqqt Broker should be without the port.
Furthermore you are missing username and password in you configuration.

Thanks,

Just changed the configuration.yaml to the following setup :slight_smile:

mqtt:

discovery: true
broker: core-mosquitto # Remove if you want to use builtin-in MQTT broker
username: mqtt
password: mqtt
birth_message:
    topic: 'hass/status'
    payload: 'online'
will_message:
    topic: 'hass/status'
    payload: 'offline'

Unfortunately without any result… again I tried to pair some Ikea bulbs, but without succes.

Strange thing is nothing appears in the mosquitto config file?

Really don’t know whats going wrong here…

Thanks!

You may try to use different username/passwords for homeassistant and zigbee2mqtt to be able to differentiate between the connections.

“logins”: [
{
“username”: “zigbee2mqtt”,
“password”: “somethingsecure”
},
{
“username”: “homeassistant”,
“password”: “anothersecurepw”
}
],

This would allow to to check wether both are connecting proper to the same MQTT server.

I get the same problem as Bart. Just installed HA, and fail to figure out why my devices aren’t showing on the Overview page. I can see them in the zigbee2mqtt addon log file, and both zigbee2mqtt and Mosquitto are starting without errors (just like on the post above).
Why is there norhing to configure in the Integrations/Configured section (MQTT: Mosquitto broker reports: This integration has no devices.)
From what I read the devices should be added automatically (I am using Ikea bulb, Hue bulb an Xiaomi motion detector), I can see all my devices talking to the zigbee2mqtt, but nothing pops op on the HA Overview page.
Sorry if I misunderstood something really basic about hass.io, but I can’t find my answer anywhere.

I currently have this same issue

Have finally worked out why my USB dongle was disconnecting, now this issue :frowning:

did you solve it?

Did anyone solve this?

I have the same bug, and the Configuration/Devices is also empty.

Try using username/password when connecting the zigbee2mqtt to the Mosquitto. Somehow Mosquitto treats connections from anonymous sources differently.
