Zigbee2MQTT plug device as HA entity

Hello,
I just installed an H.A. instance with zigbee2MQTT and mosquitto addons.

I sucessfully connect two plug devices that I can see in the Zigbee2MQTT frontend.

Now I would like to create a graph with the power consumption on those plugs, but I can’t find the plugs outside of the zigbee2mqtt frontend. In the “settings” panel of the plug in the frontend I gave my device a name under “Home assistant” fieldset. What am I missing ? What’s the way to get the plug datas in other modules of H.A.

Excuse me if this has already been asked but I couldn’t find the information.

My versions are:

  • Home Assistant 2023.1.2
  • Zigbee2MQTT 1.29.1-1

Did you add the mqtt integration to HA (devices)?

I’m not sure what I have to check.
Do you mean in the addon configuration ?
I let everything by default except the serial, like it’s written in the doc.
The mqtt field is blank.

No, the integration. Did you set that up?

The other common cause for Z2M devices being missing in HA is if you’ve set a value for the Zigbee2MQTT frontend url, and not entered an actual URL. Lots of people stick an IP or hostname in, which HA then rejects as not being a valid URL (because it’s not).

This is easy to spot by looking in HA’s log file where you’ll see lots of errors about the configuration URL being invalid.
