I’m attempting to run Zigbee2MQTT along side with HUBZUSB stick, and from my understanding this is possible in HASSIO. I purchased a CC2531 adapter and flashed it following the guide here:
It appeared to flash correctly, although I did get several errors upon verifying (I’ve read this is normal?)
My problem is I don’t believe HASSIO is recognizing the device. I don’t seem to see it listed in the Hardware tab under Supervisor or when doing a: “ls -l /dev/serial/by-id” in a terminal window.
I’ve noticed the board doesn’t have any leds lit up when plugged it (it did before I flashed: a single green led)…Is this normal?
Flashing those devices is fiddly as hell, which is why they’re not recommended anymore. That said, you’ve bought it now so it’s worth trying again.
Basically, if it’s not recognised by your computer at all, there’s definitely a problem with the flash. I’m not certain about the led, but I also believe that should illuminate if the firmware is working.
Well, that and that they’re the least capable sticks out there, which a number of known issues that cause them to lock up, or just become unresponsive for a while.
And yes, the green LED should be burning out your eyeballs if the flash worked - at least mine do.
I have 3 CC2531 adapters working without issue.
Yes, the green light is burning when connected. I just flashed mine with the cc debugger and the last firmware.
Thanks all! I reflashed and after a couple tries got it to verify. I have a solid green light and HASSIO appears to recognize the adapter! Thanks again!
