ZigStar - ZigBee Coordinators and Routers

Got it, many thanks!
I read your configuration and noticed that I had twice “serial”,
so I switched to yalm and corrected.

Now it works

Are there any risks in doing this? I’m mostly thinking that if you lose all devices, etc.?
Can/should I take a backup before?

A risk that something can go wrong it’s possible ,but chance to happen is very low, if you follow instructions, i will come with a video, detailed video.
Currently u can check: https://youtu.be/DxFUbIeYUgU
have English subtitles

Paired devices is not possible to loose, most important to close all connection to your stick/lan coordinator. Z2M stop,ZHA stop or whatever software you use to communicate with coordinator.
Then you can flash/update your coordinator,be very carefull on what firmware is required for your device.

Just a quick note that I moved Home-Assistant (running on a small PC Engines APU2) to my home and it is now connected 120km away to my summer house with UZG-01 running on PoE. Both sites are running fiber with a wireguard VPN. I have 100Mb/s up and down with nearly no interruption.

And it works like a charm.

Now with UZG-01 your home-assistant platform can we anywhere: in the cloud, home, etc …
I see no difference with a local installation.

It rocks!!!

The UZG-01 is clearly the best coordinator I have ever used and it suits 100% my needs.

How is it possible to set the channel in the adapter?

I have a Zigbee2Mqtt integration in Home Assistant. As I set the channel from the default 11 to 15, it does not starts. The configuration is mismatching in the HASS Z2M and the adapter

This is related to Z2M not to hardware and according to Z2M,you need to set the channel, save settings, stop z2m,delete backup file from Z2M folder and run again Z2M.

You have a clear message in the log what should be done:
If you wish to re-commission your network, please remove coordinator backup at /config/zigbee2mqtt/coordinator_backup.json.
Re-commissioning your network will require re-pairing of all devices!

I’m getting a bit confused by all the firmwares? Today I have a Coordinator type zStack3x0
Coordinator revision 20211207.
Do I have to point to any firmware or can I let the program pick the latest one?

Addon is universal for all zigbee coordinator based on TI CC2652P, but firmware can be different based on your hardware. So what hardware you have?

Zigstar lan GW

then use next settings:

success, it works perfectly

Works excellent with the Sonoff ZBdongle-P :+1:t3:

Thank you for this useful tool :hugs:

Thanks!
Actually I saw the error message you mentoined but I didn’t believe it
I’ll try it at the weekend, since it will take more time to pair all devices again.

Hello all,
I bought a UZG-01 but I forgot to take a poe option. I bought just with the “LAN” option
Do you have a power supply you can recommend ?

I have a small charger from an old Xiaomi gateway. (5V approx. 1.0A). Do you think I can use it without damaging the UZG-01 gateway?

Thanks !

Hi, thank you, anything what is more than 0.7 A should work.

OK thanks !!

:warning: New shop alternative :warning:

UZG-01 now can be ordered directly from China, with more shipping methods and fastest delivery options.
Check our partner website for more information.
UZG-01 (ZigStar UZG-01)

Is there any downside to the USG-01 by not having the newer EFR32MG21 chip? Trying to decide between this and the TubesZS EFR32 coordinator.

In my understanding, all depending on what Zigbee System you will be using, if ZHA only then EFR,if Z2M and ZHA then CC2652P, this is my opinion.
Tubes devices are very good. No doubt

Thanks!

I also used ZHA Vs Zigbee2Mqtt - #3 by jerrm and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWzzNe5gm5s to help decide.

I went with the ZHA/CC2652P to keep things simple.
